  • Anne Keener

    COMMISSIONED PASTOR

    Anne Keener has been on our staff since November 2013 and a member of First Presbyterian since 1997.  She completed her Certificate in Ministry through Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in November 2018 and was installed as a Commissioned Pastor by the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee in February 2019.  She is married to Jim and has two children, Julie and Brian. Anne graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She has been involved in a variety of ministries at First Presbyterian over the years including serving as a Stephen Leader for 10 years.

  • Part-Time

    Bridge Pastor

    We are excited to share that Warner Durnell will be joining us as a second part-time Bridge Pastor from September 1 - December 31.


    During this time Warner will share in shaping and leading public worship, provide pastoral care for the congregation along with other staff and leaders, moderating session meetings and attending various staff and committee meetings.

     

    Warner is no stranger to FPC having preached here several times during the six years he was Executive Presbyter of the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee. Over the course of his career, following receipt of his Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary, he has served as Executive Presbyter of the North Alabama Presbytery; Associate Synod Executive, Synod of Living Waters; and installed positions in Alabama and North Carolina. Though retired now, he continues to serve the denomination in temporary or transitional positions most recently in Lebanon, McMinnville, and Tullahoma as well as interim at First Springfield.

     

    Warner is currently on the Board of Directors, NaCoMe Camp and Retreat Center and served on the Board of Trustees, Louisville Seminary from 2012-2018.

  • MICHAEL SNODDY

    DIRECTOR OF MUSIC & organist

    Michael P. Snoddy currently serves as the Director of Music and Organist for First Presbyterian Church of Franklin, Tennessee and is a recipient of the Master of Music Degree in organ performance from the University of North Texas. Mr. Snoddy is also an undergraduate winner in the twenty-sixth annual William C. (Bill) Hall pipe organ competition, a state-wide event sponsored by First Presbyterian Church, San Antonio, Texas. A performer of numerous recitals, he has appeared at both Hull City Hall, Hull, England, and First Congregational Church in the city of Los Angeles. His CD entitled Immortal, Invisible, recorded at Bentwood Trail Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas, was featured on a nation-wide broadcast of American Public Media’s Pipedreams, a program dedicated to the music of the King of Instruments. Most recently he earned the Presbyterian Association of Musicians professional certification as a Certified Church Musician (CCM). In addition to a career as a church musician and organist, Mr. Snoddy has worked as a professional pipe organ builder and continues to assist the historic Canadian firm of Casavant Frères Limitée in project development.

  • sam belcher

    DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRIES

    Sam is familiar with Franklin as he attended Ravenwood High School and then Lipscomb University. Sam felt called into youth ministry in his teen years and was very active in his youth group and has many great ideas to share with us. He has just graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary’s Center for Youth Ministry with his Master of Arts degree. While in the CYMT program Sam served as Director of Youth Ministries in Lakeland, TN.

  • Catherine Olson

    Director of Operations

    Catherine comes to First Presbyterian with an extensive background in operations and finance. Most recently Catherine worked with Common Sense Finance, a startup nonprofit focused on providing financial literacy and planning to low and middle income families. Prior to working at Common Sense Finance, Catherine worked with RePublic Schools (a charter school network) for nearly 10 years in various operations and finance roles, most recently as the Director of Finance for the network. Prior to working for RePublic, Catherine spent a year working in affordable private schools in Hyderabad, India with the IDEX Fellowship. Catherine graduated with a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.

  • marie hayman

    church Accountant

    Marie Hayman was raised and educated in Southern California. She moved to Nashville in 1998 with her husband Kevin and her son Garrett. For the past 22 years, Marie had been employed as the Corporate Accountant for Colliers International Nashville, a large commercial real estate firm in downtown Nashville. She also has experience in property management accounting and banking. Marie tried retirement for a short time, but soon became bored and decided she loved working and keeping active. “First Presbyterian Church feels like the perfect fit for me.…I have already met so many wonderful people. I hope to be a blessing to this very thoughtful and helpful team.” When Marie is not working or enjoying her family and pets, she is painting with watercolors, cooking, or reading.

  • Daphne Culver

    Daphne was born and raised in Missouri and attended College of the Ozarks and Crowder College. She is a certified auto mechanic and locksmith and has been the "I can fix that" person to call for homes, apartment complexes, and industrial locations in the area for years. Daphne is a former touring musician, playing accordion, banjo, mandolin, guitar and piano, and you can typically catch her wearing a bandana.

  • KELLY OLDHAM

    NURSERY COORDINATOR

    Kelly Oldham has been on our staff since 2008 and has been a member of the church since 1992.  She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Elementary Education.  She is married to Robert.  They have four children and one grandchild.  She has served on the session and various committees at FPC.  Kelly began volunteering in the nursery when her children were young.

  • Sara Hinds

    Treasurer

    Sara Hinds joined the church in 1968 when her family moved to Tennessee for her dad's job.  Graduated FHS in June 1974.  Graduated MTSU in May 1978 with degree in accounting.  Worked for public accounting firm Touche Ross from summer 1978 until early 1986.  Worked in corporate accounting until retiring in June 1994.  Became treasurer around end of 1998 or early 1999.  A member of Finance Committee, Administration Committee and Communion Cleanup.  She delivers for Meals on Wheels with FPC.  Married to Ron Hinds and has 6 dogs.  Likes to snow ski and take cruises.
